October 28th 2006, a return day of a 6210 miles solo bike trip all over Europe. A trip made of hundreds of encounters and landscapes now imprinted in my memory forever. I can still hear myself saying the following when addressing my relatives: “Travelling by bike is the most beautiful thing I’ve done so far”.
.
It is time today to listen to « my little voice ». You know this little inner voice that our education, socialization, fears and frustrations try to silence too often. This voice that says everything is possible. It is then time for me to listen up, to leave and take to the road again…
.
Leaving but without any return date this time…trying to reach out to “The Great Freedom”…riding as long as the little voice will tell me to. In a constantly moving and evolving world, riding a bike reestablishes the human dimension to travel, with regards to the inhabitants met and the lands ridden through.
Once again, I won’t leave with a definite theme, but essentially motivated by my will to meet up with the people along the road. Traveling around the world is an attempt to get a better understanding of what is happening in it, to know those who live in it as well as to find out more about myself.
Convinced you can find happiness in the simplest things, I’d like this time to emphasize the self-reliance aspect of a trip on my own, willing to draw on animal and vegetal resources if needed and whenever possible.
This project shows my willingness to get closer to nature, reencounter forgotten feelings, and try to go back to the basic essentials.
.
Travelonbike Association: Since its creation in 2006, date of my first bike trip, the association has funded other adventures every year. It has followed many steps of Julien Leblay’s world tour and Alexis and Florine’s one whose theme was “the seniors of the world”.
As of September 2009, Travelonbike will broadcast my new journey. As I ride all over the world, I will share with you my feelings and thoughts through audio reports from the road.
Hopefully these will help ignite your imagination and raise your curiosity in travel, people and the unlimited possibility of life.

My project in 3 words: Travel … Meet … Tell…
